Bullfinches and Blossom  This painting depicts bullfinches amidst blackthorn blossom with other native Spring flora  …including ladybirds on the nettles, as seen on a recent dog walk.  The background of the painting is a rich dark blue.  I was inspired by vintage wallpaper depicting exotic birds and plants.  This is a rather more local version.
