This painting is a countryside scene  highlighting the tradition of sidesaddle horse riding.  I saw this sidesaddle family at a local show a couple of years ago. This painting is a celebration of all those parents and carers who take children to their sporting activities and other pastimes every weekend. With horses, it is rain or shine, and a lot of elbow grease. 
The background in the painting is a pale warm off white colour. 

This painting is complemented by a lightly distressed pale soft grey frame.

The picture is protected by a mid sheen UV varnish.
